The more I seek Him, the more of me I find in other things that aren’t Him. The more I see myself apart from His glory, I realize how easily I have let temporary pleasures take over. And there I cry out and He meets me, right there in the midst of my icky, dirty mess, He meets me with open arms and says, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” And I am breathless. I am weeping, and surrendered; I am caught in the scandal of grace.
